After 14 days, Amy was wondering about her floor mats. She called the company, but found out they didn't use a tracking number when they shipped it. That meant the package could be anywhere, with no idea of when it would arrive.



A few more days went by and she was starting to get nervous. She called again, but it was of no help. Then, the party day arrived. She was walking out the door, on her way to a gift shop, when the package finally made it. She was thrilled she would not have to get a cheap gift in town. She threw the package into her trunk and hopped in. She looked at her own car interior as she drove and imagined having her own monogrammed mats. That would be pretty cool, she guessed, but she wasn't the flamboyant type. Besides, she drove an old clunker of a car.



When she arrived at the party, the whole family was already there. She sneaked in through the back door and headed to a bedroom. She caught her mother and had her mom bring some wrapping paper, scissors and tape. Together, they wrapped it up, pretty as could be. They then took it out and sat it with the rest of the presents. She was so proud. After the birthday cake was cut and passed around, everyone sat down to open the gifts. Her sister's boyfriend sat with the birthday girl and helped her open presents. When they got to Amy's gift, they shook it and made a wild guess that made everyone laugh. Then, they opened the box.

Now, Amy had not opened the gift to examine the monogrammed floors mats in advance. When it was opened, the mats were beautiful, except for one thing; the last initial was wrong! Amy was horrified and the look on everyone's face joined in. Then little sis said there was an announcement to make, and her boyfriend announced they were engaged! His last name happened to start with the initial with which the mat was monogrammed, so it turned out to be the perfect gift, and the perfect opportunity to announce the engagement! Everyone was happy, especially Amy, because her little sister now had everything.
